Go for it!"Piya O Re Piya- Sad Version" is captivating and goes unplugged for the whole 2.30 minutes. Atif Aslam does what he is best at and the end result is an engaging, innocent composition that is easy on the ears and mark a smooth beginning for TNLHG. Despite Shreya's repetitive “Main Vaari Jaava, Main Vaari Jaava, the composition strike gold at the first strike. Priya Panchal and Mayur Puri do the job for penning the lyrics which sees a perfect blend of some beautiful romantic numbers and some Punjabi-hip-hop dance numbers. The soundtrack opens with the much promoted "Piya O Re Piya" where Shreya Ghoshal refreshes the memories of “Saibo†( Shor In the City) at the very start and later Atif Aslam almost does a “Pehli Nazar†( Race) with some apt lyrics by Priya Panchal. A soundtrack loaded with artists like Atif Aslam, Mohit Chauhan, Kailash Kher, Shreya Ghoshal, Sunidhi Chauhan and Monali Thakur develops huge expectations with five originals, six remixes and one reprise/sad version.
Addition of some English vocals in the only interlude and at the end provides some variety and surprisingly the pace remains the same despite some added extra beats. As one moves on, a third version "Piya O Re Piya- Remix (By DJ Suketu)" shows the immense confidence the composers had in the composition. Priya Panchal replaces Shreya Ghoshal but her presence is hardly felt.
Hit! Innovative and Impressive with a capital 'I', that’s what "Jeene De-Coffee House Version" is all about. The lyrics by Mayur Puri are simple yet very effective. The backing/supporting vocals by some male artist are what catch the attention but I wonder why the credentials have no mention about him. Normally a Mohit Chauhan number strikes instantly but this number needs some hearings to grow but once it does it will be hard to keep away for sure.
O Re Piya Song Kailash Kher Full Justice To
Mayur Puri writes some exciting lyrics which will definitely find an inclusion among other Punjabi-Talli-Dance tracks. Diljit Dosanjh (a name more popular for Punjabi numbers) does full justice to this Punjabi track where any other day and it could have very well be Mika Singh at the helm of affairs. Terrific version!Moving on, Sachin-Jigar enter their trademark forte, a fast-paced dance track "Pee Pa Pee Pa Ho Gaya" which starts off with an energizing mukhda. If the original was purely Indian at heart, this number sees some fascinating guitar replacing the Tabla making it more inclined towards a modern, western composition.
Don't dare miss it! "Tu Mohabbat Hai-Remix (By DJ Suketu)" makes for a good remix, although it reminds you of “Tu Jaane Na Remix†( Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahani). The fifth and last track or rather item number "Fann Ban Gayi", picturised on Veena Malik (probably), starts off in style with Sunidhi Chauhan reciting some Haryanavi Cliché’s. It's arguably the best song of the lot and should make up for a good visual treat post interval with love in the air between the lead pairs. Monali Thakur joins in after two minutes and her 'overlapping' effect (from 2.30 to 2.44 and 3.54 to 4.08) with Atif in each antara is simply majestic. May be replacing Mika Singh for Diljit in the remix could have gathered some more applause.Atif Aslam returns with the super addictive romantic outing "Tu Mohabbat Hai" which has SUPER-HIT written all over it! Priya Panchal (supporting vocals) starts with some Punjabi lines and from there on, it’s the Atif Show all over. "Pee Paa Desi Mix (Remix by VIP Records)" is a good effort to blend Desi with Hip-Hop and the end result is an usual remix. It's not the first time for a Sachin-Jigar composition being let down by the picturisation and choreography - recently “Thank U Mr.Dj†and “Piya Kesariyo†from ' HTS faced the same treatment and as a result despite the compositions being worth a hear, they disappeared somewhere down the line among other average tracks.

Here’s hoping that TNLHG fares better at the Big Screen with the film getting better limelight with the imminent marriage of the leading pair (Genelia and Riteish)….
